Good afternoon. It’s Tuesday. The days are getting shorter. I was up at 7:00 for my GA day yesterday, came outside to find that it was DARK. It wasn’t dark on Friday at that same hour. I can’t believe how fast the sun is going. As a DA I am never outside when the sun is up but I assume that it’s there at some point in the day. Phil took Troy and I up the hill to overlook McMurdo and to see the sun. Can you believe that we actually had to go on a drive to get to the sunlight? McMurdo is surrounded by hills that constantly shadow us now.
Yesterday was a beautiful day, – 10 with no windchill. We were working in mill vans again, counting stuff. Wow. Then it was cold. It’s like working in an ice box. I left my water outside one morning and it froze by noon. Not solid but I couldn’t drink it for awhile.
I finally asked Simone what she thought of Office Space, she said it was hilarious but after she watched it she realized she couldn’t watch it again because it was too familiar. She worked at Fridays for 2 years and in a cubicle for 4. She says that as she was quitting she was having thoughts of all the ways she could sabatoge the company. It’s just too funny.
I finally caught up on my sleep from movie night. I had such a busy day yesterday with unpacking the food order, freezing in the mills vans, and then yoga till 7:30. As I was heading back to my room I met up with Dela. Here I found out that she lived on the same floor as me and I never even realized it. We talked about this as we headed up to our rooms and it was only as I walked down the hallway, noticing that the doors were a differant color than our 70’s orange, that I realized I was in the wrong building. Yep, it was time for an early night indeed.
Today I’m all chipper, looking forward to the stack of pots that I left myself. We’ll see how fast I can get them done. All sinks are brimming.
Well, just saying hello on my break. I love my picture Charity. I’ll print it off as soon as I am on a computer that isn’t all messed up. Talk to you later.
