I left Wednesday morning after staying up till nearly 3:00 and getting up at 5:00 Andrew and I drove to the airport where we got to hang out in his US Airways club area. Very posh. There was breakfast with juice and everything. We shared the flight to Charlotte and then parted ways as he went on to Birmingham and went on to Florida where I will meet up with family for the July 4 weekend. Steve Carter picked me up in his giant extended cab white pickup. He was actually waiting in the airport for me and I walked through without ever seeing him. I couldn’t even find him as he talked to me on the phone and told me he could see me. When we stopped to gas up and I went in to get a drink I came back out and nearly climbed into someone else’s white extended cab pick-up. It was Steve honking at me that helped me realize my mistake. He got to watch the whole thing in his rear view mirror. Brilliant. Here’s the finished pictures:
Art on Elm. Mary will get letters to match one of the colors on the mural. I think she’s leaning towards the gold.
So on Sunday night I did a late night. I was expecting to go later but instead I dribbled paint on the carpet at 12:30 and spent nearly 2 hours trying to clean it up with no luck. Mary’s solution was to have me paint on the carpet to make it appear more on purpose so I did some stars. It turned out rather well.
I was even able to add “art, music, food” to it. It looks like pixie dust. Very sweet.
St. Joseph’s church detail. We painted the tips with gold paint. I hope it catches the light.

corner. Don’t you love how the corner all goes together and disappears?
So, as I was procrastinating about mailing this I found Yuengling in the fridge which Mary first introduced me to, as I got Jason to open the bottle I realized a Valspar commercial was just finishing up. That was the brand of paint that I used for the mural. I guess everything has come full circle and it is finally time to send on my blog. I hope you enjoy.
